What our clients have to say
Testimonials
Skilledin is the only tool I use for incorporating careers. I haven’t come across anything that is as easy as this.
Skilledin is very simple and easy to use. It’s clearly laid out for the teacher and the links are very useful. The format that it comes, makes it very easy to copy and paste links into my PowerPoints for my lessons. It has saved me a lot of time trawling the Internet myself in search of useful and relevant content. In all honesty, careers was something I probably did very little of before having Skilledin as I didn’t have the time to source things to use.
I have embedded the links and careers information into all my KS3 lessons using Skilledin. It then makes delivery seamless. There is a current drive at my school to embed careers into day-to-day teaching, so I have now been able to do that.
I have shared it amongst a number of staff and their feedback has been very positive. They have been impressed with how extensive it is and how easy and simple it is to use. It is incredibly favourable to teachers as we don’t always have the time to do all the preparation we need to do. It saves teachers all the time that would be required to search for useful content.
I probably did very little with careers as it involved me taking the time to trawl the Internet, time that I don’t have. Skilledin has just made my job so much easier, and I can now effectively embed careers into my teaching with minimal effort.
I have had a look at a few of the video links and I think this will be brilliant to introduce students to the opportunities that Food Tech provides for a massive range of careers. This has saved me a lot of work because we have to embed career opportunities within our schemes at regular intervals and this does the first part of me. All I need to do now is embed the links into our schemes and power points.
The Head of English was very impressed with Skilledin. She is sharing at her next departmental meeting to see how they can best use it.
It helps my students see the value of the subject and that they can go somewhere with it. Many of them wouldn’t imagine that these opportunities could be open to them.
Skilledin shows the students what they can achieve with what they’re doing and inspires them to see the point in schoolwork.
It opens their eyes to jobs, courses and careers that they would never have thought of.
It helped us to see that there are so many different and interesting jobs we could think about with the subjects we are doing.
We enjoyed the experience of watching the films and think they’re awesome and really helpful to see what opportunities are out there and what we can do with our subject knowledge.
I knew about a few of the career roles available, but definitely not all of them. The videos were great, brief but informative. They give you a taste of the subject area, from which you can go on to do further research. I think it will be a great resource for young people to explore certain career options that they won't have considered previously.
It’s helpful to link what you learn in the classroom to real-life everyday jobs.

Skilledin comes from my own teaching experiences, students were always asking “when am I ever going to use this?”, and from seeing their very limited career ambitions. I wanted to make it easier for teachers to engage students in learning by showing them that they had or were learning skills applicable to so many careers. As we have introduced others to Skilledin we find it isn’t just students, but professionals too, who are unaware of how applicable their skills are to a huge range of career opportunities.
